In Mexico people prepare for Day of the Dead by decorating their homes, the ofrenda and the cemetary.
“Mexico's Day of the Dead” CD-ROM features over 16 different crafts that you can make for this holiday. In this project we'll make colorful paper banners. Banners for Day of the Dead can be
simple ones or detailed scenes with skeletons in all sorts of activities.

1. Gather the materials needed to make this project.

2. Make an inch deep fold across the top of a sheet of colorful tissue paper. Glue a string in the fold leaving lengths of string at each end.

3. Fold the tissue paper in
halves or quarters

4. Cut a pattern into the paper and
then unfold the banner to see how
your pattern looks.

5. Use the ends of the string to tie or
tape your banner to the wall.
