Here are some traditional Carnival masks from the Caribbean and Mexico. The characters represented by these masks are a Jaguar Knight, a fancy lady and a "Dandy" from Mexico and an Amerindian from Bermuda.

For your carnival festival make a mask which is based on the Jaguar Knight, a mask used during Carnival in the Veracruz region of Mexico.
