OUR TEAM

Susan Olivier-Hirasawa, President and Founder, is the creative lead at Pentewa — the concepts for Pentewa’s titles grew out of her experiences as an artist and a teacher. Olivier-Hirasawa is responsible for the design and illustration of each title and has led our development team. Before coming to Pentewa Interactive she designed books and founded Rainbow VillageTM a publisher of multicultural doll/book kits which was sold in 1997. Prior to that Olivier-Hirasawa was an architect and director of a non-profit development corporation responsible for all aspects of multi-million dollar projects.

John Hirasawa, Vice President and Founder, is responsible for all financial aspects of the Company start-up and product manufacturing. John composes, plays and engineers the sound for each title. Prior to founding Pentewa, Hirasawa worked for over fifteen years as a manager in technical companies in the office automation field where his responsibilities included start-up of new divisions, supervision of technical staff, development of customer service and technical support divisions, technical training, and relations with manufacturer(s).

Ann Sauer heads our technical team and is responsible for the programming and testing of each title. With her years of experience engineering a wide range of software applications, Sauer also plays an important role in designing the user interface and functionality of our programs. Sauer brings over fifteen years of experience as a programmer and supervising engineer at Aldus, Adobe & Headbone Interactive.

Jim Chandler, of Barrett & Chandler, directs our sales and marketing bringing to Pentewa Interactive over twenty-five years of experience in marketing with such international companies as Staedtler-Mars, Scripto-Tokai and Beckman Instruments. He has been the guiding force behind numerous successful launches of products manufactured in every part of the world. He has packaged, positioned and priced products for acceptance in every retail distribution channel in North America. Chandler works in partnership with Bonnie Barrett, an award-winning graphic designer responsible for Pentewa’s packaging and ad campaigns.
